This weeks’ example:

 

Belfast mural

I saw this mural in Belfast Ireland, a few years ago. It has the classic "Communist China propaganda" look from the last century.

The elements that make it are: the limited flat colors, white, red and black, bold graphic shapes and the classic figure in a workers uniform, arms raised in defiance and celebration. Also the halftone dots in the middle of the piece.

Look how the artist made the windows fit into the picture by painting big black rectangular shapes at the bottom of the mural that mirrored their shape and size and then painting them black (it also appears that the rooms are painted black too).
