Excel YOYO: PART 1: Office

In the Office.xlsx file:
- Select A1:E7 (cells A1 to E7), on the Home tab in the ribbon change the font to Bookman Old Style.
- Select A1:A7, change the font size to 12pts and make the style Bold.
- Click on the Border button and choose Right Border.
- Select B1:E1, change the font size to 12pts and make the style Bold.

- Click on the Border button and choose Bottom Border.
- In the column header double-click the line between the column heads to adjust the width of columns A, B, C and D.
- Your document should now look like Figure 1 ==>
Select B2:E7, on the Home tab in the ribbon change the Number type to Currency.
- Change the Number type to Accounting.
- Make the October column narrower by dragging the header line.
- If the numbers change to ######, re-adjust the column width to fit the larger numbers. See Figure 2 ==>
- Click on A1 and add a new row at the top: click on the Insert button on the Home tab of the ribbon and select Insert Sheet Rows.
- In cell A1 type Office Expenses.
- Select A1:E1 and click on Merge & Center on the Home tab of the ribbon.
- Change the font to Bookman Old Style, 20pts and Bold.
- Color the title text to your choice of color..

- Fill the title cell to your choice of color.
- Make the title cell taller by dragging the header line between 1 and 2. See Figure 3 ==>
- Align
the title text to the middle
of the taller cell .
- Fill the data cells (B3:E7) to your choice of color.
- Color the Total row to your choice of color.

- Download (save) this picture on your computer: OfficeInc.jpg
- Click on the Background button, on the Page Layout tab in the ribbon.
- Navigate to the OfficeInc.jpg picture on your computer, select it and click Insert.
- Done, see Figure 4 ==>
- Right-click on the spreadsheet tab (at the bottom of the window), or use the Format>Sheet menu and select Rename.
- Type "Monthly Expenses," press ENTER (return).

Right-click on the spreadsheet tab (at the bottom of the window), or use the Format>Sheet menu and select Tab Color.... See Figure 4 ==>
- Select any color that you like.
SAVE YOUR DOCUMENT.
TURN IN YOUR DOCUMENT.
NOTE: the background picture OfficeInc.jpg will not appear on a printout.
