 Mesh Illustration Assignment...
In Illustrator create a mesh and/or Freeform Gradient type illustration in your own style.

You could just start drawing in Illustrator.

You may want to make a freehand sketch on paper and scan it in to work on top of.

Or, find a reference image on the internet to draw from or on top of.

Or better yet, a digital photograph or image that you have taken or created and draw on top of that.
