INSTRUCTIONS and HINTS:

Resize the image using the Scale Image and Canvas Size commands.

 

Select her shirt and fill it with a color (use the magic wand and the bucket tool) and then resize (use scale image & canvas size) the image to the size: 7.5 x 6.25 inches, at 150 pixels/inch. Remember that as a general rule you should almost always avoid changing the proportion of an image when changing it's size.

Hint: one way to change the image size...

  1. Use the Image Size dialog (with the proportion chain on) to set the height to 6.25 inches. As a result the width will be more than 8 inches.

  2. Then use the Canvas Size dialog to trim off the excess width.
