STEP 3

Research and 3
+ 3 + 3...

Go online, in your mind and at home to research your food. You will make an outline in your Google Classroom account that lists:

    1. Three or more points that describe the historical context of your food for you your family and the world.
    2. Three or more points that describe what the food is made of and how it is made.
    3. Three or more points that tell what the food is good for and/or how is is bad for you.

These will become the slides for these parts of your presentation...

HISTORICAL CONTEXT/SET THE STAGE —1 or more slides to Place the food in YOUR history: at what important moments in your life was this food present. How did this food influence your life? Where does this food come from? Is it a traditional food from your family homeland, a recipe from one of your ancestors? Or is it a food from somewhere else in the world. What part of the world does it come from? Historically where in the world were the ingredients found?

WHAT IS IN THIS FOOD/HOW IS THIS FOOD MADE (THE RECIPE)—1 or more slides to list what makes up this food (the MAIN ingredients), and basically how is it created. This is not a cooking class you need not list ALL of the ingredients or ANY measurements, nor the detailed instructions for making it: be general about it.

WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THIS FOOD—1 or more slides to talk about how is this food good and/or bad for you. Think about how healthy it may be to eat, how it makes you feel, whether it serves a social, cerimonial, religious or cultural function.

Use the form 3+3+3: Food Profile in your Google Classroom account.
