PowerPoint Final Project...

 

 

You will create a Google Slides presentation.

The subject of that presentation will be to
tell the story of your favorite food.

Based on your choice of food you will create a PowerPoint presentation with 6 or more slides, organized like this:

  1. TITLE—must include:
    1. author (you)
    2. date
    3. organization (Computer Apps. 1 Class)
    4. Place (Mt. Eden High School, Hayward CA)

  2. INTRODUCTION—1 or more slides for why this food is your favorite. Why did you chose this food?

  3. HISTORICAL CONTEXT/SET THE STAGE —1 or more slides to place the food in YOUR history: at what important moments in your life was this food present. How did this food influence your life. Where does this food come from, is it a traditional food from your family homeland, a recipe from one of your ancestors?

  4. WHAT IS IN THIS FOOD/HOW IS THIS FOOD MADE (THE RECIPE)—1 or more slides to list what makes up this food (the ingredients) and show how this food is created.

  5. WHAT IS THE VALUE OF THIS FOOD—1 or more slides to talk about how this food is good (or bad) for you: physically, nutritionally, emotionally...

  6. CONCLUSION—1 or more slides for your conclusion: what are the main points that you want to reinforce (that you want your audience to remember).

Your presentation must:

      • Use a design theme.

      • Have at least one slide transition.

      • Have at least six images on the slides.

      • Must include at least one of the following: a table, a smart art diagram or a chart.

      • Have an animated text or image.

      • Have a link to another slide in the presentation or to a webpage.

 

During the final week of class we will schedule a time for you to present your project in front of the class. In advance of that you should take time on your own to practice your presentation using the slides.

You will turn in these parts:
