Teachers

All teachers are required to:

• Have a valid CA teaching credential (multiple subject)
• No emergency credentials will be allowed
• Bilingual
• BCLAD or equivalent required
• CBSET and CSET
• No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Certificate of Compliance
• Completed student teaching from a accredited college or university
• A minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree

Teachers must the ability to communicate well with others. It is important to not only be able to communicate with other teachers and administrative staff, but also with the parents or guardians of the students. Share the goals and ideals for this multicultural education, specifically, that all children are capable of learning and are validated for what they bring into the classroom. It is recommended that the teachers have experience working with diverse populations of students. Teachers who have specialties in the arts, math, science, technology, are encouraged to apply. An expertise in these areas is highly appreciated in order to help shape curriculum content. We are seeking teachers who are open to alternative forms of education. This means that creativity with lesson plans is necessary.
